1. Service Description

Homeschool Hero is an educational management platform designed to help parents and educators create, manage, and track assignments for students. Our Service includes:

• Assignment creation and management tools
• Student account management
• Grading and progress tracking features
• AI-powered assignment generation tools
• Reporting and analytics features

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

2. User Responsibilities

By using our Service, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the accuracy of such information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
• Not share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account
• Not use the Service to transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Not use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our express written permission
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your use of the Service

Parents are responsible for:

• Ensuring that student accounts created under their parent account are used appropriately
• Supervising student activity and ensuring compliance with these Terms
• Maintaining the security of student account credentials

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Free Trial

We offer a 14-day free trial period for new users. During the trial period, you have full access to all features of the Service. The trial begins automatically when you create an account and ends 14 days after the trial start date.

3.2 Subscription Plans

After the free trial period, continued access to the Service requires a paid subscription. Subscription plans are billed monthly. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page.

3.3 Billing

By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Billing occurs on the same day of each month as your initial subscription date. If a billing date does not exist in a given month (e.g., January 31st), billing will occur on the last day of that month.

All fees are in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are non-refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in these Terms.

3.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price changes via email to your registered email address. If you do not agree to the price change, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

3.5 Payment Method

You must provide a valid payment method to maintain an active subscription. We use third-party payment processors (currently Stripe) to handle payments. By providing payment information, you agree to the terms and conditions of our payment processor.

If payment fails or your payment method is declined, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service until payment is successfully processed.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellation by You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.

We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-month, you will retain access until the end of that billing period, but you will not be charged for subsequent periods.

4.2 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Non-payment of subscription fees
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Extended periods of account inactivity

4.3 Effect of Cancellation

Upon cancellation or termination:

• Your access to the Service will be terminated
• Your account data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period (typically 30 days)
• You will not be charged for future billing periods

5. Liability Disclaimers

5.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable and continuous access to the Service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free from errors, interruptions, or downtime. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service unavailability or technical issues.

5.2 Educational Content

While we provide tools to create and manage educational content, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content created through our Service. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and validating all educational content before use with students.

We are not responsible for any educational outcomes or results achieved through the use of our Service.

5.3 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HOMESCHOOL HERO AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY.

5.4 No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

5.5 Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with or link to third-party services, including payment processors, authentication providers, and other educational tools. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Homeschool Hero and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you create or upload to the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

8. Changes to Terms
